Well, it’s that time of year again!  The kids are all back in school and it’s time to get back into a routine – something my family sure needed!  It’s also time for school pictures!  I am still available for a few family sessions as well as school picture sessions.  I don’t know about you, but I have never liked the pictures taken at the school!

School picture sessions are usually done right after school at a New Sarepta location.  Sessions are quick – about 15 minutes by the time we choose a spot and snap a few!  Turn around time is usually 2-4 weeks depending on my workload at the time.  Please contact me for more information if you are interested in booking a session!  tbhinkle@airsurfer.ca

I have actually managed to catch up with everything – for the moment anyway – and thought I’d try and catch up with the blog!  I have so much to add and never enough time to add it!  I just finished these images and thought I’d share just in case some of you other hockey moms and dads might be interested….My plan is to include the card along with our family picture in my own Christmas cards as it’s 4×6 format.  I just can’t help but send these out to everybody! lol  With a little luck, I’ll get a chance to do some more blogging this week…I hope!

My sister & I have 5 kids between us and we (or should I say our Mom) decided that we should make an attempt at getting all 5 of them to cooperate for a group picture…..  Now I must rewind to the last time we tried this….  The littlest one was about 18 months and the oldest about 5.  One of my boys would have nothing to do with wearing the matching shirts we tried so hard to find, and the rest were just a bunch of wiggle worms.  To top it off I was just getting started in this whole business and didn’t have proper equipment, blah, blah, blah.  You get the picture!  The only good one we got was of their feet after we lined them up on the deck and gave them freezies!  Yup – that would be the picture on the blog!

I must say, this time went MUCH better.  Funny how a few years experience can help things!  We went out to a great location near here and played hide & seek, climbed in trees & just had fun.  I’m so glad we finally have a few great ones of all 5 of them together….Thanks Mom, for getting us to try again!

I have a lot of catching up to do!  The summer has been super busy (as it has with everyone, I’m sure!).   I’m hoping to catch up on my blog over the next while…I hope!

The C. Family may look familiar to many of you as they’ve been here many times before.  It was great to spend some time with them again as they have a new addition to the family!

Finally I got to meet little Teagan and what a sweet little girl!  I must say she had a good time nibbling on the basket of apples & dumping them – like all little ones like to do….  🙂

Her mom was one of the flower girls in our wedding and it’s been sooooo long since we’ve seen her….way too long.  What a fantastic mom she is!  It’s sad how busy we all get sometimes that we can’t spend more time with family.

I only had time to edit a few right now but couldn’t wait to post them.  Who knew a back alley in New Sarepta could look so good – lol!  Hopefully I’ll have a chance to add a few more later in the week…thanks for the visit today….

We got to meet little Gracie this week – the newest member of our family!  What a sweet little girl, but with just a hint of stubborness….well, more than just a hint! 😉  I think more than a few of us in the family have been blessed with it – including her cousins who came with us to visit!  We had all these fun ideas of things to do with her, but she was not in the mood at all.  That’s okay, since we ended up with some great pictures anyway when she finally gave in and went to sleep.  I hope you enjoy them as much as I do!

…like drive your cars on your new baby brother!  Oh Christa & Jason, you have your hands full with these two little guys!  I thoroughly enjoyed our session (and visit).  With kids this age, you never really know what you’re going to get.  I had to smile at this first one!  I’ve edited some I really liked.  Hope you find some you love too!

I had the pleasure of spending last Saturday afternoon with a great family.  They brought little Macklin – what a serious little man sometimes – and oh so cute!  I hope you enjoy these as much as I do!

What a crazy busy week this has been!  I’m so excited to finally have the new website up and running!  In case you haven’t checked it out yet, it’s  http://www.tarahinklephotography.ca .  Yup, the name has changed – and I’m thrilled about that too!  There are other changes too so please be sure to read the information on the site before booking (I’m sure there will be a few more too) – thanks!

Before I forget, I want to thank everybody for their encouragement during this business venture of mine.  The past year and a half has been just great!  I have loved photography for so long and it’s great to be able to do this and still be home with the boys.  The best of both worlds, I’d say!

Now to add a few favorite pictures….I think this time I’ll pick some babies.  I love doing these shoots – babies and little kids.  They don’t care what they look like and so usually what you see is who they are.  Nothing better than a little one’s smile!!  It’s always nice to get the parents in there too!

I’ve finally decided it’s time to start a blog!  I’m hoping it will be a place for everyone to check out what I do.  I was looking back at some older shoots and realized that I’d like to share some pictures from those as well as sneak peeks from the new.  It’s so much fun to be able to capture those little moments that mean so much.  You forget so quickly how tiny those little hands and toes are or the expressions between brothers & sisters, mothers & fathers.

I’m having a tough time deciding where to start, but I think I’ll post a few of my own children.  After all, they are one of the big reasons I got started in this fantastic journey!  Many of you have probably seen these before, but I think they really show what kind of kids they are!  The first one is a favorite from quite a while ago…

Last fall we decided to go for a walk and maybe find some new places to take pictures along the way.  The boys were so excited to find the bridge!
